Content Audits
Taking inventory of your content before a redesign is one of the most important steps you will take toward a better site.
Content audits account for all currently published Web content, with all of the details recorded in a spreadsheet. Sounds daunting, but isn't too much of a challenge once you get started.
There are two types of content audits—qualitative inventories and qualitative assessments. An inventory catalogs "what's there" and an assessment answers the question: "is it any good?"
Use the content audit spreadsheet to prepare your site content for redesign. If you have questions about how to create your content audit, view a draft of the College of Nursing's site audit during early development, which is the second tab in the spreadsheet.
